Ooey Gooey Nutella Bars

So… IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE. WHOOP WHOOP.

A little while ago, I started talking to a blogger called Emma. Her blog is called urbanlifeexo and it’s really good- link is here.

We wanted to do a little collab as something fun for Christmas, so we decided A DOUBLE POST OF A RECIPE FULL OF NUTELLA AND SWEETS AND GOODNESS would be nice for this holiday season.

The recipe is for “Nutella Condensed Milk Bars” from a blog called Butter Baking.

YOU WILL NEED:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup white sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups plain flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ – 1 tsp sea salt, to taste
½ – 1 cup Nutella, to taste
½ cup condensed milk

STEP ONE: Preheat your oven to 350F or 180C or Gas Mark 4.

STEP TWO:  Mix together your butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla- it will give you a very caramel-ly looking substance.

STEP THREE: Add in your flour, baking soda, and salt until everything is combined- now, it’ll look like cookie dough. Put the mixture into a GREASED brownie tray, leaving out a little more than 1/2 a cup for later.

STEP FOUR: Spoon your Nutella all over the top! (I had a little too much fun with this bit)

STEP FIVE: Pour the condensed milk on top of the entire thing!

STEP SIX: Taking the leftover dough from earlier, drop pieces over the surface of your sugary mess. It should look something like this:

STEP SEVEN: Bake for 30 minutes, or however long it takes for the top to look nice and golden.

Be sure to let it cool before you eat!

Happy holidays, everyone.

Don’t take over the world without me.

  1. First off, the recipe looks cool. I’ll be making that for some people I know! Also, thanks for the follow! I’m new to the community, and it was a nice welcome. 🙂
